Connecting One of America’s Most Historic Landmarks
The Empire State Building (ESB) is a national historic landmark and one of America’s most iconic and recognizable structures. Opening in 1931, it was among the first modern skyscrapers constructed and was the world’s tallest building until 1973, when both the 104-story World Trade Center in New York and the 108-story Sears Tower in Chicago surpassed it in height. The building houses some 190 tenants, including the FDIC, Social Media icon LinkedIn, and the Human Rights Foundation.
- 102 stories tall, 4th tallest in NYC
- Over 2.5 million square feet, including the iconic Observation Tower
- Empire State Building sees over 3.5 million visitors annually
- The building hosts over 175 office tenants
ExteNet has deployed its Distributed Network throughout the building, including the multi-level basement, to ensure ESB can provide its tenants, visitors, and staff with advanced mobile connectivity. Operational since 2014, ExteNet has designed the network to accommodate all major wireless carriers and their supported wireless services.
