Intro Text

We make it all work seamlessly – for voice and data – with a wireless service provider’s existing network by combining our expertise in network design and construction with scalable, technologically advanced hardware.

ExteNet Systems’ DAS network equipment is centralized with the wireless service provider’s (or multiple wireless service providers’) Base Transceiver Station Hub (BTS Hub); capacity may be augmented or coverage extended by network optimization, and by adding nodes to the ExteNet Systems fiber backbone.

A Typical Outdoor Distributed Antenna System Network

Meeting Challenges for Future Services and Technologies

The ExteNet Systems DAS network supports a wide range of frequency bands and technologies. New technologies and services such as 3G, UMTS, CDMA-2000, 4G, 802.16 (WiMAX) and 802.11 (WiFi) can be implemented by adding the required BTS equipment at the BTS Hub. This provides for immediate provisioning of new services. More importantly, the ExteNet Systems DAS network architecture minimizes the need for repeatedly deploying site technicians to do site modifications. This can result in a significant cost savings to every wireless service provider when they upgrade their network.

Network Performance

DAS network architecture reduces interference across the network. How? The interference picture improves because the nodes that are transmitting the RF signal from the BTS Hub are typically 30-40 feet from ground level. This low transmitting height provides natural signal isolation and helps reduce interference. Power levels are also reduced, which further minimizes the potential for interference.

With the node closer to the user, our networks increase mobile battery life, improve the utilization of spectrum and RF resources, and boost data throughput by 120 to 190 percent.

ExteNet Systems installs fiber optic cable that serves as the backbone for the network. Once operational, an ExteNet Systems DAS network can provide support for multiple wireless service providers and technologies.
