Dan Timm Joins Extenet Systems as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Distributed Network Company Bolsters Strategic and Financial Planning with New Senior Executive
LISLE, Illinois – December 9, 2010 – ExteNet Systems, Inc. (ExteNet) has appointed Dan Timm to the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer, according to company President and Chief Executive Officer Ross Manire.
“Dan is a senior level executive who has recently worked with ExteNet on several investment initiatives,” said Manire. “His work with both public and private companies, as well as his strategic expertise for companies in expansion and later stages of development, are excellent fits for ExteNet.”
Previously, as a principal at GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC (a Chicago-based private equity firm with more than $8 billion in capital under management), Timm served as a director for numerous public and private companies, acting as GTCR’s primary interface with senior company executives and other constituents. He was integral to strategy development, incremental investment decisions, and lender negotiations. Dan joined GTCR from Chatham Technologies, Inc. where he was senior vice president and chief financial officer for the $600 million multinational electronic enclosures company focused on the telecommunications industry.

Previously, Timm was president and a director of The Bruss Company, a $100 million high quality food manufacturer where he led a team that tripled revenues and achieved best-in-class operating margins. Prior to his role at The Bruss Company, Timm was a senior associate at Ridge Capital, a private investment firm. His career began at Coopers & Lybrand. Timm is a certified public accountant, and he earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois - Urbana.
