John Kelley Joins ExteNet Systems
New Director of Network Implementation and Engineering
LISLE, Illinois—October 03, 2008—ExteNet Systems, Inc., announced that John Kelley has become director, network implementation and engineering. ExteNet Systems designs, builds and operates distributed antenna system (DAS) networks for wireless service providers.
Kelley comes to ExteNet Systems from Consult Kelley, which he founded and successfully ran for several years. The full-service firm provided IT and telecommunications network planning, management, operations, engineering and construction to the telecommunications and enterprise sectors.
“John joins ExteNet Systems with more than 30 years of telecommunications industry experience, including executive and management roles with AT&T and Verizon,” said Oliver Valente, ExteNet Systems executive vice president and chief operating officer. “John’s extensive experience in network engineering and operations is a tremendous asset to us as we continue to successfully grow our business in the Northeast. He provides the business critical customer focus that is key to the market leadership we have attained.”
Kelley has also served as chief operating officer for two network services start-ups: MetroNext, a metro-Ethernet concern and before that, C2C Fiber Networks, a carrier-class CLEC. Prior to his engagement with C2C Fiber Networks, Kelley’s career included executive management positions with Network Plus, AT&T Local Services, Telecom PhoneWatch Security and Verizon.
