Title: MACI Manager, NY/NJ and Northern CA

Position Overview:

The primary area of focus for MACI Manager will be to determine scope, solicit quotes, generate cost estimate, and price for proposal on distributed antenna modifications for indoor and outdoor networks. The position will require travel; however, it will be primarily assigned to a specified region. This is a hands-on and field-based position. The MACI Manager is responsible for overseeing network modification requests delivered to ExteNet from venue owners, wireless service providers, municipalities, or other third parties for indoor and outdoor networks. This position will manage highly complex RF engineering projects, while striving to exceed corporate objectives for quality, performance, and budget measures. The MACI Manager also serves in the capacity of a utility player supporting both technical and non-technical responsibilities. This position requires demonstrated and applied experience relative to indoor and outdoor DAS networks, fiber and antenna construction, and project management. The MACI Manager will have a high degree of customer facing involvement, so a professional demeanor is a must.

Job Functions:

  • Engage venue management team, wireless service providers, municipalities, or third parties on discussions for ongoing/up-coming projects
  • Coordinate with ExteNet NOC on establishing scopes of work with existing maintenance vendors or sub-contractors for requested modification projects
  • Engage with Professional Services area teams and Network Design on network impact of requested modifications
  • Work with ExteNet’s subject matter experts across originations as needed for project support
  • Communicate with Jurisdictions and Utilities on Rule 20s and 5-year plan of construction that will impact ExteNet networks ensuring Extenet participates in phase1 planning schedules
  • Interview contractors prior to each project to standardize pricing and solicit quotes, create cost estimates, establish proposal pricing, and generate proposals for said work
  • Ensure timely collection, verification, validation of project data. Collate deliverables and regularly distribute to internal teams, SharePoint, and customers
  • Identify negative trends and forecasted schedule deviations identified through the project lifecycle, prepare mitigation and escalation plans, and execute corrective measures as reasonable or appropriate to ensure the timely completion of projects
  • Generate budget and project forecasts
  • Schedule with NOC and third parties for work completion
  • Manage as-built and drawing updates
  • Participation in outdoor and indoor site surveys to identify modification requirements, equipment location, and antenna placement/orientation
  • Site candidate evaluation
  • Verify related site engineering drawings
  • Site build verification and acceptance
  • Prepare acceptance reports and other relative documentation for project closeout
  • Attend weekly team and project meetings
  • Frequent travel may be necessary

Education and Experience:

  • Exemplary communications skills with demonstrated ability to work with, facilitate meetings with, and present to multiple, distinct audiences (internal teams, senior management, customers, contractors, external resources) in a professional manner
  • Demonstrated problem solving and risk mitigation abilities
  • 3-5 years of telecom (wireless / wireline) or construction industry project experience
  • Bachelor of Science (technical degree preferred) or a combination of equivalent work experience and educational background
  • Proficient with MS Office Tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio) GIS and CAD Experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
