Application Development Engineer- Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Reporting to the Application Development Manager, you will facilitate the architecture, design, implementation, integration, deployment and ongoing support of all custom and third-party databases, websites and applications. You will also develop and communicate the detailed technology architecture and implementation strategy for a solution to the client and project team. It’s important that you understand business objectives, translate them into application design, transition the application into operational status, and assist with application support and maintenance. This position owns the technical design for complex distributed business applications. The Application Development Engineer will demonstrate a proficiency with both front-end and back-end technologies.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Work with web development technologies to maintain and/or update web applications.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Work closely with end users to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Filter and “clean” data, create and review reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
  • Code solutions to problems using a structured approach, keeping in mind long term maintainability and quick accessibility.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain functional/business unit relations
  • Generate reports on project planning and timelines

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience; Masters preferred.BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience; Masters preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience acquiring and demonstrating significant knowledge of business processes.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Dynamics CRM functionalities and business process analyst.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Solution Manager and Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Broad knowledge and experience in the use of the Systems Integration with XML Web Services C# / REST/ WSDL, CRM Web Services Software Development Kit (SDK) ,utilities for both batch and online applications and expertise in distributed technologies including Visual Studio .NET, the .NET Framework, Extensible Markup Language (XML), ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) .NET, and Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Understanding of Windows Communications Framework (WCF).
  • Expertise in the use of web services and interacting with MS CRM database through the use of web service methods using SDK.
  • Customize, create and implement reports using SSRS, SSIS.
  • Supported .NET application and architecture by designing, coding and debugging Web API services hosted in IIS 8.
  • Solid broad technology background including object oriented programming, database architectures, distributed systems, and web based applications and services (SOA) as well as experience on a full stack SDLC.
  • Demonstrable experience managing the client relationship with a focus on long term relationship cultivation
  • Experienced at enabling business process improvement and culture change
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong relational database design and implementation experience
  • Entity Frameworks, SharePoint experience a plus
